Western Australia Cricket Association04-Jan-2003The Western Australian cricket selectors have expanded a Western Warriors squad for the Pura Cup match against Queensland at the WACA Ground starting on Saturday.Outstanding young batsman Shaun Marsh was tonight added to the squad.Marsh, 19, smashed a sparkling 40 from just 30 balls in Thursday’s ING Cup limited-overs match against Queensland. The stylish left-hander was not named in the original Warriors squad.Fast bowler Matthew Nicholson is battling a viral infection. A decision on whether he plays against the Bulls will be made shortly before the match.Nicholson has been sidelined for the past month as he recovered from a ruptured tendon in his bowling arm.The Warriors 12th man will also be named just before the match.The Warriors squad is:Jo Angel (Captain), Murray Goodwin (v-captain), Beau Casson, Michael Clark, Kade Harvey, Shaun Marsh, Scott Meuleman, Matthew Nicholson, Marcus North, Chris Rogers, Luke Ronchi, Callum Thorp, Adam Voges and Paul Wilson.
